Safe Management Measures
Dear Parents / Guardians
Schools will ensure that safe management measures
are in place to keep our students safe:
a)
Daily
temperature-taking with additional visual and question screening will continue
to be carried out for all students. Students are to bring their working oral digital
thermometer on each school day.
In addition, the
following group of students will be required to stay away from school:
·
unwell,
·
have
adult household members with flu-like symptoms such as fever and cough
·
have
adult household members who are on home quarantine/Stay Home Notice
b)
Students
will primarily wear masks when in school. A personal face shield from Temasek
Foundation will be issued to the students when the stock arrives. For students
with difficulties wearing masks, such as those with breathing difficulties, the
face shields may be worn. For recess, students are encouraged to wear their
face shields while eating and drinking. Face masks need not be worn while
eating and drinking but should be worn at all other times during recess.
c)
Students
will practise frequent hand-washing throughout the school day and practice wipe
down of tables and shared equipment after use.
d)
Intermingling
across classes and levels will be minimised.
e)
There
will be fixed exam-style seating in classrooms and spaced seating in canteens
or alternative venues.
To avoid over-crowding in the school canteen during recess,
classes will be rostered to “eat-in-class” or “eat-in-canteen”.
Students may consider bringing
their own packed food for recess so that they have more time to eat and relax. Students
can also buy pack food from canteen back to class for scheduled “eat-in-class”
recess. In such cases, students are
highly encouraged to bring their own containers.
Students who take lunch
in school are to pack their lunch to be consumed at home.
f)
To
minimise intermingling before school starts, we strongly encourage students not
to arrive too early.
